Where procurement strategy meets operational reality

Most procurement functions don’t fail because of bad intent — they fail because they’re fragmented, over-manual, and disconnected from how the business actually operates.

ProcurementFlow Consulting was founded on a simple belief:
procurement should reduce friction, not create it.

As organizations grow, procurement often becomes a bottleneck — slowing decisions, increasing risk, and frustrating internal teams. I partner with leaders to redesign procurement into a strategic operating advantage: faster, more resilient, and aligned with business priorities.

What “Procurement Flow” Means

Procurement flow is the state where:

  • Decisions are made with the right data, at the right time

  • Suppliers are managed as partners, not transactions

  • Processes scale without adding headcount or bureaucracy

  • Cost, risk, and speed are balanced — not traded off

This is not a future-state aspiration — it’s the result of intentional design across sourcing, contracting, systems, and governance. My work focuses on designing systems — sourcing strategy, intake, contracting, P2P, supplier management — that work together as a coherent whole.

Not theory. Not templates.
Practical, embedded change that sticks.

I bring over a decade of procurement leadership across renewable energy, biotech, biomanufacturing, and complex R&D environments, working inside organizations where procurement outcomes materially affected growth, compliance, and time-to-market.

Highlights include:

  • Leading Procure-to-Pay transformation and spend analytics for $140M+ annual procurement portfolios

  • Delivering multi-million-dollar savings while improving supplier performance and cycle time

  • Standing up global sourcing and contracting programs across highly regulated environments

  • Building and managing distributed procurement teams across the U.S. and Philippines

  • Integrating supplier sustainability and risk data into enterprise sourcing decisions

I’ve held roles at organizations including Johnson & Johnson, Roche, SunPower, and most recently at BioMADE, a federally funded bioindustrial manufacturing institute.

Across every role, the mandate was the same:
make procurement work better — for the business and the people using it.

I hold an MBA and Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University. I’m fluent in Spanish and French, and outside of work you’ll find me climbing, hiking, or chasing after my two energetic boys.

If procurement feels harder than it should —
let’s talk.

Who I Partner With & How I Work

  • I partner with startups, mid-market organizations ($50M–$2B in revenue), private equity firms, and portfolio companies that need procurement to operate as a strategic lever — not just a transactional function.

    My clients are typically:

    • Startups and scale-ups building procurement foundations to support rapid expansion

    • Project-based and service or materials-intensive businesses with fragmented or decentralized supply chains

    • Private equity sponsors seeking measurable EBITDA improvement across portfolio companies

    • Portfolio companies under margin pressure or preparing for growth, integration, or exit

    • Are navigating growth, integration, turnaround, or margin scrutiny

    • Need procurement to accelerate results — without slowing the business down

    • Have spend volume, but limited visibility, governance, or leverage

    • Experience recurring cost overruns, supplier risk, or inconsistent processes

    • Want clearer coordination across procurement, finance, operations, legal, and sustainability

    • Are ready for procurement to drive measurable value — not just manage transactions

  • want:

    • Practical, hands-on execution paired with clear, proactive communication

    • Clear decision frameworks and repeatable, well-documented processes

    • A trusted partner who can lead the work while upskilling internal teams

Engagements range from targeted diagnostic sprints to end-to-end sourcing initiatives and procurement system improvements, depending on the organization’s needs and maturity.
